Founded in 1879, Keating’s ‘the nearest Bar to New York’, situated on the seafront of Kilbaha harbour, is renowned locally for its fresh, daily seafood, caught literally at the front door. Keating’s Bar is a wonderful, family run Pub and Restaurant in the heart of Kilbaha village.
Situated, spectacularly on the seafront on Kilbaha Bay and... close to Loop Head Lighthouse, Keating’s proudly lays claim to being the ‘nearest bar to New York’ (with the iconic image of the Statue of Liberty on its western gable). Passed down through the family for generations, our bar is steeped in local history and tradition, our genuine, friendly staff will ensure you feel instantly at home and made very welcome.
Now boasting a magnificent menu, we pride ourselves with a mixture of fresh, locally caught sea produce and many other delectable delights including steaks, grills, stir fry’s, children’s menu and desserts. We also serve a number of speciality coffees and teas.
Keating’s has become a widely acclaimed eatery with locals and tourists alike. Indeed, there is nothing more enjoyable than sitting on the sea wall at the front of our pub, sipping on a glass of wine or Guinness, watching the fishing boats go by and taking in ‘the million dollar view’ in the sunshine.
